New task in Penang

My dear friends,

The results of the 12th General Elections has brought everybody a big surprise.
At state level, the opposition parties won 5 states out of 13:Penang, Kedah, Kelantan, Perak and Selangor.
At Federal Level, opposition parties won 82 parliamentary seats out of 222, this is the first time in the history, opposition parties has finally denied BN's 2/3 majority!

I thought I will not be able to see the change of the government during my time on the earth.

But things happened in the other way. That night, I nearly cried when I heard that the racist, Khairy has been defeated! (But after re-count, he won by 5000++ majority and of course everybody knows he played with dirty tricks! )

The results of the election has changed the direction of my career in 2008. I begin to lead a new life in Penang. I moved out of my room in Petaling Jaya(where I only stayed there not more than 2 months) one week after polling day.

From opposition to ruling government, I am now in a totally new environment, with new working peers, new desks, new tasks and new bureaucracy.

I still need some time to study a lot of stuff as I am not a local people.

Actually, I planned to start my wandering life after the General Election.
That's how things changed.
Life is full of unexpected things.
This is also the reason why I do not always plan my future.
But when can I step on the land of Central and South America!?

Of course, the history of Malaysia never ended. I always think that this lovely land was cursed with "racial politics" long long ago. The winning of opposition parties once makes me thought that we can get away from racial politics happily ever after. However, from the way of Sultan appointed the State Chief Minister or deputy chief, to how our ruling coalition party allocated the seats for Executive members ... ... current situation has proven that we still have a long way to go before we can really get some capable and talented people to do things and get things done.

For the time being, I hope that I am not only the witness of the people's swing, I hope I can help to prove that apart from that old corrupted coalition, other parties can also help people to improve their life (Although the elected reps are really lack of experience in running a state). But now for me, the most important thing is: people are dare to challenge, scaremongering is outdated! Hurray!

Dear friends, welcome to visit Penang! Welcome to visit me!

:)
