Chinese Doggy Year 2006

This is the first time I didn't celebrate Chinese New Year with my family. My cousin sister organized the "Red Reunion", so almost everybody was wearing red clothes when they took the pictures at my aunt's house. My mum was in orange,my dad was standing beside her, and my younger brother was in pink.

The Chinese Society(basically,almost all of their members come from P.R.O.China, I didn't join the organization because they use China's national flag as their symbol which makes me feel overseas Chinese are excluded) in UEA called Chinese New Year as "Spring Festival", I still cannot get used with this new vocabulary. Celebrating Chinese Lunar Calendar New Year is my cultural, but we don't have spring season in Malaysia, so it does not make sense if we also use "Spring Festival".
